I earned my license in another state more than 25 years ago before coming to Lake Martin in 1995. I always had a dream of living on a big, freshwater lake..always. There are few places to compare with Lake Martin and I will admit to being prejudiced to its beauty and tranquility. Our location has much to offer in addition to Lake living. Gordon Pickler

I have been around Lake Martin for well over 40 years. I first saw the Lake flying in and out of Maxwell while in the Air Force and realized then that this would be a great retirement spot! After deciding to retire from the Air Force in 1975, I moved to the Lake. I began teaching at Troy State University and, not wanting to sit idle on the weekends, I began selling real estate and specializing in Lake properties. I was the first outside salesperson to join Lake Breeze early on from its inception. Typical weekend retreats have appreciated in price tremendously since that time.
